Perishing is the thought of sadness as I
Anticipate the parting of foreverness
For not pined away was my
Wishes along with the sea beneath
It’s a pool from a distance
The noon-after sunshine sprinkles, after my path
Time has an end, life is too damn long

Hope no one takes these two versions as a translation of E-C or C-E. Or a poem written in two languages. Am I right? Then why put them together? To accommodate each other? Sure, 博弈 has the answer.
The English version is more traditional, but the Chinese more mordern. I read 'death', 'life' in one and 'love' in another. The word 'damn' is a twist that kind of lights up a bit the gloomy mind. I think the Chinese poem will fit into the music very well, to be sung.
My personal opinion only.
