The Clouds at Sunset----Wen Zhang
The Clouds at Sunset
Wen Zhang
I chase the sun as it is leaving,
Like a little child tries to catch her mom,
Like a lover tries to run after her love.
The clouds is the cloak of the sun,
With ever changing glow of reds, purples and pinks,
The majestic display takes my breath away.
As they grow dimer and darker,
A flow of melancholy surge in my heart,
My lover is gone,
Part of my life is gone,
I long to see you again,
Tomorrow you may come covered with grey and dark mantle,
Or I may be engulfed by the anxiety of loss and gains
Of this world that I can hardly see you.
But I will surely meet you again and again,
And lose myself in your beauty like I see you for the first time.
