Rejection does not make you a bad poet.
Acceptance does not make you a good one.
Therefore, neither should trouble you.
Chase after fame, however, and you put your life
Into the hands of others:
They will tip you between hope and despair.
Aim, then, to be aimless.
Seek neither publication, nor acclaim:
Submit without submitting.
禅与投稿的艺术
拒绝并不意味着你是一个蹩脚诗人，
接受也不意味着你是一个优秀诗人。
因此，两者都不应困扰你。
追求名声只是将自己的生命
交付到别人手中：
他们让你在希望和失望中倾斜。
有目的，而又无目的。
不须追求出版，也无须追求称赞：
投稿于不投稿中。

LAKE好!
Cameron 似乎颇善于使用双关语.我是这样解释下列两句,不知是否符合原意:
Aim, then, to be aimless--头一个AIM是说写作时要瞄准目标,写成以后(THEN)则别太汲汲于找地方发表.
Submit without submitting--前一个Submit是指投稿, 后一个则指"屈服"或"投降"

开始时掉以轻心了。经非马先生指出，越想越不好翻。
特别是很难译出一词所含有的double meaning.

Zen and Taoism both advocate an aimless approach to life - so therefore it becomes an aim.
Yes, submit works in both ways: to submit poetry and not to submit to the submitting process (or authority).
