Buffet at Sasha’s
Buffet at Sasha’s
Ain’t no Casablanca
The best races enter
with exit strategies
The older youngs ponder
over a Pipa Jazz
in a brunch with tricky Frenchmen
but enter
The stupid Americans, including me
Having the carrots, organic food
what a city of mush-
rooms ‘n cheeses on plates
The babies, the mangos
when the Olympics meets
Marxism in a Sunday cafe
No coats are hung
No Visa is denied
until the next airplane
Let’s game (博弈)
* Sasha’s, located at the crossroad of 衡山路,东平路, Shanghai。

I like this one even though it is my writing.
You have to 'live Shanghai' to know what I meant. |

An exotic ambiance. The poem suits the photo well.
Casablanca must be a good place to go to or a good film to see.
Since you've mentioned Jazz, I feel your poem swings...
I understand "No Visa is denied", but am puzzled at "No coats are hung". Is it because of summer that people don't bring their coats or coats are simply thrown onto the back of the chair or what?
这可不是一般上海老百姓光顾的地方吧,准是那些大佬、鬼佬享受的地方。
前几年第一次去上海,如刘姥姥进了大观园。刚下飞机,脚还没站稳,就让吴侬软语温柔地宰了一刀。
Anyway, enjoyed your poem. |
