Sit on your head to display
dignity and authority as only
a king or a queen would.
Bear the glances of admiration
like a supermodel catwalks on the stage

Feel the pain, the weight and how
a migraine pulsates, or how the shoulders
sag, and cervical vertebra throbs with each
ounce and inch added to the hat.

I like your observation and the way you put it in words. After reading it, I had to remind myself of the usefulness of a hat (generally speaking), such as protection from bad weather.
