Early Spring
Little birds fly back, singing
and picking snowflakes from the tree
The ice melts away,
floating and chasing the wave in the river
I stand near the window,
waiting silently
for the first thunder of spring
and the raindrops to drip into my poems |

Early Spring
Little birds fly back, chirping
and picking snowflakes from the trees
Ice banks melt away,
floating and chasing the waves in the river
I stand near the window,
waiting silently
for the first thunder of spring
and raindrops to drip into my poems |
