可以的，只是現今少用了．這裡其實是語帶雙關的（另一個是天賦的），所以有二段的類似刁鑽潑辣語氣．

碰巧, 今晚陪來訪朋友又看了一次 The Load of the Rings,
gift 做為 verb 的用法在第一集(The Fellowship of the Ring)
的開始即清楚地唸出來, 不妨打開字幕邊看邊聽. 一例.
