Standing at my Kitchen Window
by Wen Zhang
How long will I live in this world?
This blue sky, this shining sun,
Even though it is minus 35 with wind chill.
These bare trees and the evergreen,
Even though a lot of branches were broken by the ice storm.
The green aloe Vera on the window sill,
the red apple on the kitchen table….
I certainly would miss this world,
My life may end unexpectedly or I won’t want to stay
Because I’m at the last days of my life.
Maybe I will turn into something else,
A beautiful baby, a flower or a leaf,
A free bird! To come this world again?
Or I’ll be in the heaven to sing God’s praise
For ever and ever? |

I wish there are all these wonderful things in heaven,
