[Rhapsodia]

《信笺》 文/晚枫

从书架上
取一张
躺着的信笺
抖掉灰尘
想在冬天的雨里
涂几行湿润
橙色
夯实的土墙

大田的庄稼
只剩下玉米茬子
尖嘴指着乌云布满的天空
根，像手背的青筋
鼓鼓的
扎进地里
唯一的价值
是有人刨走
填进灶膛

可这并不是
我要写的

将信笺放回
立着

The Letter Paper

From the shelf
I take
A piece of letter paper
That’s lying there
Shake off the dust
In the winter rain
For a few rows of dampness
Some orange color
And compacted dirt walls

The field crops
All gone but corn stubbles
Pointing sharp beaks
To the sky of dark clouds
Their roots, like blue veins on one’s hand
Bulging
Pricked into the soil
All that left
Is to be dug out
And thrown into a kitchen range

But this is not
What I want to write

I put it back on the shelf
Now standing

I want to see the opposite of 躺着的信笺 'lie', 'lying' , but 'vertical' kind of bugs me. Maybe it's ok, I don't know.

“standing” might be a better word in the place of vertical.
