梅意沧桑 (二) 移栽出我的名字这奇异的木本植物枝向天空迎接雪花花飘尘土寻找眼睛断了梅的枝流了我的血梅啊靠着我的身体做梦梦着诗人的苍凉梦出世界的清芬 The Transformation of the Plum Tree Part of my name and be planted The supernatural plant branches , up to meet the snowflakes Blossoms , down to search for eyes Broken , the branches of the plum tree Flowing , the blood of mine Oh , the plum tree Dreaming against my body Dreaming of the poet's vastitude and loneliness Dreaming of the fragrance of the world _________________ 诗歌是灵魂的歌唱. 周道模

看到題目，我立即想到可以翻成 The vicissitudes of a plum tree's intention 但一想不對，vicissitudes意思是境況的改變，盛衰，說the vicissitudes of a plum tree可以，梅的意圖如何滄桑法？到詩的內容了，第一行就令人無從下手。“移栽出我的名字”是什麽意思？ “根向天空迎接雪花”？梅的枝吧？那梅要麽在枝頭，要麽掉到了地上，那“我的骨头”是指那梅枝還是土地？ _________________ I labour by singing light 我的blog 我的專欄

是說那被移栽後的植物的形狀像“模”字？

我當然明白你的意圖，只是英語邏輯性遠比漢語強，照翻出來效果會相當古怪。如果我來翻譯這首詩，多半會有類似非馬先生這帖子裏描述的感受：

戴先生点到要害处了。读了非马先生的文章和译诗，才知“梅意沧桑”在汉语中都只能“意会”不能“言传”，更不能翻成英语了。今后要选“意象单纯”、“诗意清晰”、情思具有 “普适性”的诗来翻。 _________________ 诗歌是灵魂的歌唱. 周道模

从理论上来说，我们以英语为外语的人只能“英诗译汉诗”。 “汉译英”只能请英语为母语的汉学家来做。散文和小说要容易些，诗歌尤难翻。各位多介绍经验啊！ _________________ 诗歌是灵魂的歌唱. 周道模

oo66君翻出旧作，迫使我再下功夫修改。这首汉语诗写一种迷幻的感觉，很难翻，翻出来就迷惑了西方人，也许他们会不懂地认为： “这是东方的神秘主义”。先修改了个别汉语词句，英文增加连接词，多用句子，少用短语，清晰其逻辑性。再请专家点拨。 _________________ 诗歌是灵魂的歌唱. 周道模
