大自然的手笔
就是这么粗糙
如果画上眼珠子，该多好呀，只见————
一青，一白
两条巨龙
破盾而出
Ristafallet Waterfall
Not even a single dragon, or two,
Has been properly carved
From the Baltic Shield.
In a chaos of time and space,
Hard gneiss and amphibolite
Interlock like fangs,
Snapping the fine white clouds and mica schist
Into several pieces—
Like biting through ice cream.
White bones, stark and chilling,
Who could witness this without a trembling soul?
Even Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter,
Starts awake from her nightmare
Crying out: Glupen!
Glupen, Glupen—
A glacial cliff from twenty thousand years ago,
Cleft in two,
Hanging at the edge of the sky.
Regarding aesthetics:
Nature’s brushwork
Is just this rugged.
If only one could paint the eyes, how grand it would be—
To see, at once————
One cyan, one white,
Two giant dragons
Breaking through the shield.
