春天，她的脸像菊花一样的明亮。
起居室的地毯上，
每样东西都折出斑斑点点的韵。

一个奶酪三明治，一杯柠檬饮料，
在夏天，木兰树荫下的餐布。
她把那个你经常听到的不知名的歌
叫做知了。她拎起你的指尖
把“伦哪啦”称作“伦敦桥”*。

冬天，跟在她后面一起滑雪橇，
你和你黑色的影子
把她的脚印擦掉。
月亮升起，画出布鲁格尔**的雪地。
回到家里，她给你做热可可，
而且总在你渴望黑的时候
那线光亮开始暗去。

秋天，看着她随落叶离去，她没有穿外套，
紧抱着自己瘦弱的身体。

*伦敦桥, london bridge, 来自一首广为流传的儿歌“london bridge is falling down”。
*布鲁格尔，( Pieter Bruegel the Elder, 1525-1569)是尼德兰文艺复兴时期最后一位大师。他创作的尼德兰农村风俗画, 在欧洲绘画史上占有重要地位。

In spring, her face gerbera-bright.
On the living room carpet,
everything dappled, everything Dopplered.

A cheese sandwich, lemonade,
on a blanket in the shade of the poplar tree,
in summer. She connects the word cicada
to the live-wire sound you’ve often heard
but couldn’t name. Then the word lunula
as she lifts your fingertips for “London Bridge.”

In winter, gliding behind her in the sled,
you and your dark twin
erase her footprints.
Moon is rising, Bruegeling the snow.
At home, she makes you cocoa,
and forever after you thirst for darkness
the moment the light begins to fail.

In autumn, watch her leave, coatless,
hugging her own breakable package.

有个小问题： 这首诗的作者是 Elmslie 还是 Sylvia Plath？

如果是 Elmslie, 那么整个标题 就应该是 Babysat by Sylvia Plath， 不应分行的。
