[Lake]

May 1, 2011

You’d think he should’ve run to the street
waving a flag, or playing Amazing Grace
with the crowds at hearing the news.
He retreats, instead, into his room,
opening a display case; how the medals
in the night light glitter about his shaking
hands. The cheers, the bagpipes
stir his memory of gunfire.
He looks up at the sketch portrait
into the voiceless eyes, tears starting
to build up. He clears his throat,
Son, your job is well done.

我是看到近来世界上发生的一系列重大事件很少有人来写。
我不擅长写此类题材，而且笔力也不够，
但还是想把自己看到的听到的观察到的摆到桌面上。
肯定是肤浅的，不全面的。 也不想被人看好的。
要写出有深度的东西， 还需要时间来酝酿。

正在读 Ted Kooser 写的 Writing about Feelings.
He says, "One of the hardest things to learn
is how poems can express strong feelings
without expressly stating those feelings.

这就权当是个Journal 吧， 任凭读者解读。
