2月20日报道 一座位于泰国和柬埔寨边界的寺庙里的僧侣历时20余年,用上百万个玻璃啤酒瓶建起了他们的庙宇。

共建20座房屋

这座寺庙现在被称为“百万瓶寺”,位于距离泰国首都曼谷400英里的泰国西萨菊省。该寺的僧人从1984年开始收集玻璃啤酒瓶,由于收集到的啤酒瓶数量众多,他们决定将这些瓶子作为建筑材料来修建庙宇。

为保证庙宇建设,僧侣们还鼓励当地的政府帮他们收集更多的玻璃瓶。现在,他们用玻璃瓶修建的该寺建筑已经达到了20座,包括了湖边的主殿、火葬场、祈祷室、大厅、水塔、游客洗手间以及几间僧人宿舍等。


为了建造这座寺庙,这里的僧侣花了20多年,用了150万个旧啤酒瓶。如今这里被称为“百万瓶寺”。


连寺里的卫生间也用啤酒瓶修建。


壁画也是用啤酒瓶做成

在修建这些房子时,他们还使用了混凝土做“芯”以确保建筑物的强度,然后用棕色和绿色的啤酒瓶来修建。其中,绿色的瓶子是“喜力”牌啤酒的瓶子,而棕色的是泰国本地“象”牌啤酒的瓶子。寺里一些墙上的佛像也是由回收的啤酒瓶盖和啤酒瓶碎片拼成的。

“瓶子墙”不变色光泽好

据报道,建设寺庙共使用了150万个回收啤酒瓶,该寺的僧人们还打算利用更多回收的啤酒瓶。他们的这种做法可谓是一举两得:通过回收利用这些丢弃的啤酒瓶,既治理了当地的环境,又以低成本建造自己的寺庙。一名僧人说:“我们获得的旧啤酒瓶越多,我们就能建越多的房子。”僧人们还表示,这些啤酒瓶不变色,光泽度好,而且易于清理。
