Dream House
Once again, my eyes
set on the mansion (as I so call it)
on County Road B2 -
under the green tiles
corbeled by the red brick wall
a protruding bay window
watches streams of vehicles flow by;
a well maintained landscaping
sets off the Stars and Spangled Banner
fluttering proudly in the air.
Quiet, no one's in sight,
as it has always been.
I start to contemplate
the residents inside.
Would I still be so obsessed
if I owned the house?
