Fib is an experimental Western poetry form, bearing similarities to haiku, but based on the Fibonacci sequence.
The first number of the sequence is 0, the second number is 1, and each subsequent number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers of the sequence itself, yielding the sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc.
So a Fibonnaci poem is made up of 6 lines as follows:
1 syllable
1 syllable
2 syllable
3 syllable
5 syllable
8 syllable
I played with this:
why
does
spring come
so early?
april snow awaits,
in hibernation bears snore on.
I
know
he is
there watching
on the other end.
my heart quivers at such a thought.
the
pain-
less tree
has been cut
down to frozen ground.
a pain to see a greenless spring.

. I know this can't be regarded as serious poems, but sometimes when you get bored...
I came across another type - Anagrams. But thought I'm not smart enough, so still not quite get how it works.

I like your poems here.
A structured yet free spirit of poetry in this format
is like taking a child to an adult from step one to later steps;
the sound aesthetics is inherited in the rhythm.
The other day I also wrote in http://oson.ca/viewtopic.php?t=20354.
In English, sound is used as building blocks to form the sound imagery of a poem;
in Chinese, a word is the basic building block, so it can form sound imagery plus visual imagery.
now, look at these line(another pattern):
you'll see each line is made of 7 syllables, resemble 7 notes
(so it is a 7 by 7 paragraph); the first line is made of 1, 2, 4
series, is yet another good format for verbal
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow sew
Tea, I drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Dou
Anagram is more difficult in poetry,
a word game maybe, however if used to properly
it could create extra fun and enjoyment in grammatical
semantics.
for example,
"Here come dots: The Morse Code -- Desperation (A Rope Ends It)"
Rise to vote Sir(backwards is the same).
I have used these in other poems in the past.
