库切（John Maxwell Coetzee），1940年出生于南非开普敦，小说家、文学评论家、翻译家，大学教授。于2003年获得诺贝尔文学奖，主要作品有《等待野蛮人》（1980）、《迈克尔・K的生活和时代》（1983）、《彼得堡的大师》（1994）、《童年》（1997）、《耻》（1999）、《青春》（2002）、《伊丽莎白・科斯特洛：八堂课》（2003）等。

He has also won the Booker Prize (twice), the CNA Prize (thrice), the Jerusalem Prize, the Prix Femina étranger, The Irish Times International Fiction Prize, and holds a number of other awards and honorary doctorates.[2][3]

　　Coetzee relocated to Australia in 2002, and currently lives in Adelaide.[7] He became an Australian citizen in 2006.[2][8]
