【Review】 这是一首借伤别离以挥发胸中积忧的词。
从黄公度传世之作《知稼翁词》集后跋所记，便可窥知该词写作时的背景情况：“公之初登第也，赵丞相鼎延见款密，别后以书来往。秦益公闻而憾之。反帛幕任满，始以故事召赴行在，公虽知非当路意，而迫于君命，不敢俟驾，故寓意此诗。道过分水岭，复题诗云‘谁知不作多时别’；又题崇安驿诗云‘睡美生憎晓色催’，皆此意也。既而罢归，离临安有词云‘湖上送残春，已负别时归约’，则公之去就，盖早定矣。”这段文字介绍了词人黄公度以其盖世才华于绍兴八年（1138）以进士科及第，且取得第一名；受到当时宰相赵鼎的赏识，在黄公度出任外职后与赵丞相亦时有书信往来。专与忠贞之士作对的奸臣秦桧对此非常气恼。黄公度任泉南（在今福建境）签幕之期始满，秦桧便假借君命令他速回都城临安。公迫于圣命，不敢延误，《青玉案》一词便是离泉南动身返临安时所作。他深知生于乱世，虎狼当道，刚直不容，赵鼎已罢相，朝政在秦桧手中，自己此去只有一条出路便是免职。于是，一腔忠贞、满腹愤闷，不敢直陈，便化作别情离恨喷薄而出。
上阕写初登离途，眼前的一切都是那么难以分舍，令人思恋。词作者是莆田人，莆田在今福建境；他在泉南任签幕之职，泉南也在福建泉州一带。现在他要离开家乡赴命临安，自然是离情满怀。“邻鸡不管离怀苦，又还是、催人去”之句，朴实无华地以对报晓邻鸡的憎怨写出了不愿离别之心情，十分自然生动。“回首高城音信阻”表达他登上离途后，回头远望那渐离渐远的高大城楼已不得见，音信阻绝。接下来“霜桥月馆，水村烟市，总是思君处”中前两句写晓行夜宿，所经之处有浓霜覆盖的板桥、月光笼罩的驿馆、绿水环绕的村庄、烟雾蒙蒙的城市，无一处不使人加深思念、触景伤情。词中“催人去”的无情的“邻鸡”、看不见的“高城”、“思君”里的“君”，自有它的象征意义，前者是指不可抗拒的邪恶不正的势力；而“高城”与“君”则是指正义所在之处与高义之人，这是怀念已被秦桧排挤、谪居潮州，后终被胁迫绝食死去的赵鼎？还是寄希望于最高统治者高宗赵构？
下片写身在离途，思归无计的痛苦。“裛残别袖燕支雨，漫留得、愁千缕”前句泛写离亲别友时常出现的情景：执手话别，泪落如雨，沾湿了衣袖。裛，在此作沾湿解，与“浥”同义；“燕支”即红色胭脂，女子用以妆饰面颊；“燕支雨”，指夹着胭脂的泪水纷落如雨。后面则是说：踏上了越去越远的离别路，心头别无所有，只留下斩不尽的愁丝千万条。“欲倩归鸿分付与，鸿飞不住”是说：本想求助归飞的鸿雁捎去我的思念，但是冷漠无情的鸟儿却展翅高空渐飞渐远。
这里需要特别点出的便是，愈来愈明显地看到词人的借题发挥的技巧：表面上句句似乎都是写别家乡、别妻子、别父老，写要托归鸿给家人捎信言情，写自己仿佛是在应召赴京的途中；实则不然，词人在这里是跨前一步，想到时间的前面，他想到此次被召返京的不幸结局，必然是被秦桧迫害罢官免职，那时自己必然是含着不能辩解的冤情、谢皇恩辞帝京，返归故里；所以这里的“愁千缕”愁的便是奸相当道、国耻难消、自己壮志难酬；“归鸿”在这里象征飞向帝京的步步荣升之人；世态炎凉，人情浇薄，飞向帝京的“归鸿”怎肯为罢官归田的失势之人在君王面前呈上陈情表呢？
结尾句“倚栏无语，独立长天暮”十分精采，既然厄运必然会到来，还有什么可说？倚着栏干悄然无语，独自伫立在暮色笼罩的长空之下。这里没有华丽的词藻，也没有奇妙的技巧，只是平淡地叙述，却把词人的无可奈何、孤寂惆怅、满腹愤慨欲诉无门的心情，无一遗漏地表达出来。“倚栏无语”的“无语”胜似有语，抵过千言万语，可说是“此时无声胜有声”。该句之妙，妙在含而不露，妙在深刻真朴，给读者留下丰富的回味。它使全篇增色生辉。（韩秋白）

【Review】 该词写于作者为奸相秦桧所不容，被加以罪名罢官归田之后，此时的心情自不与金榜题名、进士及第、壮志初展时相比，一腔不平满怀失意无法化解，他便通过家中侍儿对主人的深情依恋的形象描绘，对胸中愁苦加以排遣，十分巧妙。据《知稼翁词》集后注记载：“（黄）公家中有二侍儿，曰倩倩、曰盼盼，在五羊（今广州）时尝出以侑觞，洪丞相适景伯为赋《眼儿媚》词，其中有“体轻飞燕，歌欺樊素，压尽芳菲。花前一盼嫣然媚”之句，写尽了侍儿之美。
上阕写侍儿娇羞多情之态可掬。首句“眉尖早识愁滋味”出语不凡，蕴涵极深：少小年纪应是无忧无虑、天真烂漫不解愁滋味之时，但身为侍儿，完全俯仰主人、依附他人的地位，却使这过早成熟；也由于她们具有善解人意的聪慧，最能觉察到主人此次归来的郁闷心情；这里只用“眉尖”一词便勾画出了侍儿动人的愁态，但到底还是处于“娇羞未解论心事”的年龄，成熟之中显着楚楚娇憨的稚气。“试问忆人不？无言但点头”之句颇有风趣：试探着问她是否思念自己的主人，她默然无语，但只轻轻地点头。在这里词人并未正面摹写人物的肖貌，而是运用白描手法，抓住人物部分形貌、动作，加以浅写速画，便使一个多情柔媚、娇羞腼腆的少女形象活脱脱地跃于纸上了。

【Review】 这是一首与从弟黄童（字士季）执手告别的词作。词人与从弟情逾同胞、孝友甚笃，他们才华相若，青年时期曾于戊午年──绍兴八年（1138）同登进士第，多有诗词唱和。
该词格调凄楚忧伤，似写于仕途受挫、不得志之时；篇中除伤别之外，亦含有前途未卜之叹。上阕始句交代了此次别离的原因，“薄宦各东西，往事随风雨”：为了位卑势微的小小官位，我们就要各奔东西了；回首相聚时欢乐的往事，都随着风雨消逝了。“先自离歌不忍闻，又何况，春将暮”是说：那充满离忧的悲歌哀调已不忍足听，又何况这处处皆是的春已老、春将去的暮春景象，更令人触目肠断。
下阕重点写愁情之浓，对别后的一切难以预料，隐隐然有感伤意。“愁共落花多，人逐征鸿去”之句，与上阕“春将暮”相勾连：既然春将暮，自然繁花开过，花瓣正随风飘洒，离愁别绪到底有多少，足可与漫天铺地的落花共比多；离别的人儿，随着南去北来的鸿雁就要飞向辽远的地方。结尾句“君向潇湘我向秦，后会知何处”，从字面上看，前句似乎是说弟去“潇湘”──作为具体城镇，应是今之湖南零陵县境，兄去“秦”──今之陕西一带。然而诗词用字贵虚忌实，虚可容纳万端，太实则毫无生气，所以“君向潇湘我向秦”之句是在用典，唐代诗人郑谷《淮上与友人别》诗云：“杨子江头杨柳春，杨花愁杀渡江人。数声风笛离亭晚，君向潇湘我向秦”，由此看来，黄公度是将郑谷的这句诗自然地引用过来，十分别致地表示兄弟二人要到不同的地方去上任，“潇湘”与“秦”在这里仅是泛称而非特指。分手在即，别情依依，词人忍不住发出了“后会知何处”的叹息：日后我们兄弟再相会时，谁知会在什么地方？其中饱含着对未来的一切难以预料的忧伤，引人悬念。
