【Review】 《公子行》，是唐代专写纨绔子弟浮华生活的诗题。这首是揭露贵家公子在春游中，纵马踏坏麦苗的恶劣行为。首二句描写贵公子穿上比彩霞还鲜亮的锦衣，一大早就兴致勃勃地骑马去野外春游。字里行间明显地透露出其人的豪华与权势。诗人运用对比反衬的艺术手法，以彩霞失色来反衬“锦衣”的华丽，可见其家世之贵显，生活之豪奢了。“锦衣红夺”，一个“夺”字，表现出锦衣色彩的鲜艳。
后两句即紧切公子的身份来揭露其骄纵行为。“不识农夫辛苦力，骄骢踏烂麦青青。”“骄骢”，是骄纵不驯的马。“骄”，指马骄，亦指人骄。一个“不识”，一个“骄骢”，活画出了愚蠢而又骄横的权豪子弟的丑恶形象。
唐末颜仁郁的《农家》诗写道：“夜半呼儿趁晓耕，羸牛无力渐艰行。时人不识农家苦，将谓田中谷自生。”“不识农家苦”的正是那些游手好闲的贵族子弟。他们过的是锦衣玉食的寄生生活，哪里懂得农民的辛苦和稼穑的艰难，所以他们只顾在田野上纵马狂奔，兜风赏景，全然不顾地里的庄稼，把踩烂麦苗视作儿戏。“不识农夫辛苦力”，这句诗看似平平，其实，这正是剥削阶级轻视劳动人民的表现。诗句非常切合贵族子弟的身份特点，也很能发人深思。
唐末五代时期，统治者极其荒淫腐朽，娇惯子女的现象极为严重。据说诗僧贯休曾当着蜀主王建及其大臣的面，讽刺王孙公子“稼穑艰难总不知，五帝三皇是何物！”（《少年行》）孟宾于的这首《公子行》，则是从另一个侧面鞭挞了他们为害农民的行为。
在艺术方面，这首诗也有一些值得称道的地方。踩坏麦苗，看来是寻常的事情。但这里所反映的并不是一般无意中踩着庄稼，而是贵族子弟随意践踏民田的行为。诗人将“踏烂麦青青”放在权豪子弟放荡游乐的背景上来表现，其害民的性质就愈加昭彰，揭露也更显得鞭辟入里。
这诗前面以火红的彩霞、明媚的春光描绘了一幅春景图画；后面勾画的则是一片马蹄踏过麦田、青青的麦苗被踩烂的残破景象。前后形成鲜明的对比。在彩霞春光的映衬下，后面的残破景象更显得伤心惨目。这种鲜明对比所产生的艺术效果，无形中会激起读者对贵族少爷的憎恶和愤慨。（阎昭典）
