【Notes】 卷: 又作颭
按，张孝祥词三首，皆以归字起韵。蔡伸词以天字起韵，袁去华词亦以归字起韵，皆一字句也。元天机余锦周玉晨词：“眠，月影穿窗白玉钱。无人弄，移过枕圅边。”本以一字句起，《词综》及《草堂别集》，误“眠”字为“明”，遂以“明月影”三字为起句者，误。
按，张词别首第二句：“十万人家儿样啼”，儿字平声。蔡伸词第二句：“休使圆蟾照客眠”，休字平声。第四句：“桂影自婵娟”，桂字仄声。谱内可平可仄据此。

【Review】 这首词写于宋孝宗隆兴元年（1163）。
宋孝宗赵眘继承王位后，任用张浚北伐，准备收复失地。但因北伐军内部矛盾重重，将帅不和，结果在符离（今安徽符离集）被金兵打得大败。于是，主和派的气焰便又嚣张起来，他们不顾张浚等爱国将领的激烈反对，遣使与金国统治者密切来往，准备缔结屈辱投降的和约。这时候，张孝祥正在建康留守任上，他满怀激情，写下了这首洋溢着爱国热情的《六州歌头》。
上片侧重写惨遭敌人蹂躏的中原故土凄凉景象和敌人的骄横跋扈。“长淮望断”五句，写南宋的边防。“长淮”，淮河；“望断”，看到极限。这五句说，面对淮河，极目远望，边境上萧条冷落，死气沉沉，看不到军队活动的踪迹，没有战争时的戒备状态。这怎能不使爱国者满腔悲愤呢？“黯销凝”一句，用高度概括的艺术手法，道出了作者对国事无限忧虑，凝神沉思，悲痛欲绝，却又无可奈何的神态。“追想”三句，写南宋统治的麻木不仁，使作者联想起当年中原大好河山的往事。本来，那是统治者妥协投降造致的历史悲剧，词人无法也不能道出事情的真相，只好用“殆天数，非人力”来表达自己难言的苦衷。“殆”，是约略之词，意为“大概”。
以下分三层写敌占区的情景。“洙泗”三句为一层，写昔日的文化之邦，弦歌之地，也充溢着膻腥的气味；“隔水”之句为二层，写中原沃土，如今的“毡乡”，耕田荒芜，变成了放牧牛羊的场所；“看名王”四句为三层，写敌军的“宵猎”，兵盛马壮。上述描写旨在说明敌兵势力强大，南宋国势衰败，中原人民惨遭涂炭，国家前途令人焦虑。同时，从侧面反映出北方游牧民族女真族（金人）经济落后的状况，说明他们的入侵，已经导致中原文化经济等各方面的倒退。
下片抒怀，作者关心国家人民的前途命运，但壮志未酬，报国无门。前八句写想起“腰间箭，匣中剑”白白地落满灰尘，为蠹虫所蛀，自己徒有雄心壮志，也只能虚度光阴，怀念路途茫茫，在敌人占领下的故都“神京”。想到“神京”，便自然联想到南宋统治者眼前正在推行的政策。“干羽方怀远”以下八句是对南宋王朝的统治者和主和派义愤填膺的谴责，辛辣有力的讽刺。“闻道中原遗老”以下三句写沦为亡国奴的中原人民殷切盼望王师北伐的急切心情和眼巴巴地“南望”的动人情景，这是作者听说的（“闻道”），并非目睹，倘使南方的臣民见到这动人的情景，只要有爱国心肠，就无法抑制满腔的悲愤，泪水就会象泉涌般顷泻。结尾三句，是作者自己真挚感情的抒发，也是当时无数爱国人士思想感情的真实写照。
这首词的思想深刻，艺术技巧也十分纯熟，张孝祥词作的艺术造诣和豪放风格，用这首词颇能说明。词的感情奔放，如行云流水，一泻如注，富有感人的艺术魅力。宋代佚名作者《朝野遗记》记载，张孝祥在建康设宴招待张浚等爱国将领，即席命笔，作了这首词，张浚读后连酒也喝不下去了，竟至“罢席而入”，这说明，张孝祥的词道出了爱国人士的心声，因此具有感人至深的力量。清人陈廷焯认为这首词“淋漓痛快，笔饱墨酣，读之令人起舞。”（《白雨斋词话》），是十分中肯的评价。（王方俊）

【Review】 宋孝宗乾道二年（1166），张孝祥被谗落职，从桂林北归。他驾舟泛于湘江之上，心绪翻腾，想起伟大诗人屈原自沉于汩罗江的历史事迹，情不自禁地抒写了这首隐括《楚辞》语意的词作。
词的开头“濯足”二句即运用屈原作品的词语，但又切合舟行途中的情景。“濯足”，即洗脚。“晞发”，指晒干头发。首句见《楚辞·渔父》：“沧浪之水浊兮，可以濯吾足。”后一句见《楚辞·少司命》：“晞女（汝）发兮阳之阿。”“北风凉”，见《诗经·邶风》。晋陆云《九愍·纡思》中有“朝弹冠以晞发，夕振裳而濯足。”这种朝晞发而夕濯足的意象，显示出词人高洁的情怀。
“吴山”二句承上抒发词人深藏内心的渴望舟行到潇湘的意愿。“买得”三句进一层揭出此次北归，六月下湘江的美好机遇。“蝉蜕”二句，词人转换艺术视角，运用《史记·屈原贾生列传》；“蝉蜕于浊秽，以浮游尘埃之外，不获世之滋垢，嚼然泥而不滓者也。”既对屈原身处浊世而不同流合污的人品赞美，又借以自喻。庄子《齐物论》：“昔者庄周梦为胡蝶，栩栩然胡蝶也。”水云乡，古代指隐者所居。这样从两个不同层次透视词人的心灵，既是清高脱俗的，又是旷达自适的。换头，“制荷衣”三句都是用了屈原的成句。《楚辞·离骚》：“制芰荷以为衣兮，集芙蓉以为裳。”纫兰佩，是把兰草贯联起来的佩带。《楚辞·离骚》：“扈江离与僻芷兮，纫秋兰以为佩”。把琼芳，见《九歌·东皇太一》：“瑶席兮玉瑱，盍将把兮琼芳”。这三句承上转下，而屈原的伟大人格和作品，浮现在词人的脑海里，倾注到笔底下。“湘妃”二句是化用《九歌》中《湘君》、《湘夫人》两篇的诗意。湘妃是湘水之神。《水经注·湘水注》：“大舜之陟方也，二妃从征，溺于湘水，神游洞庭之渊，出入潇湘之浦。”屈原的《九歌》是祭神的乐歌，并用原始舞蹈。清商是清商曲，音调短促悲哀。“唤起”三句，以无比敬仰的心情赞颂屈原其人及作品的不朽价值。三闾，即三闾大夫，屈原做过楚国的三闾大夫，后指屈原。《史记·屈原贾生列传》：“（屈原）忠而被谤，能无怨乎？屈平之作《离骚》，盖自怨生也。……推此志也，虽与日月争光可也。”
结末“莫遣”二句用典，而把超越时空的思维意识回归到现实中清幽的自然画景，显示出无穷的乐趣。“儿辈觉”，用《晋书·王羲之传》：“恒恐儿辈觉，损其欢乐之趣”。苏轼《与毛令方尉游西菩提寺》：“人生此乐须天赋，莫遣儿郎取次知”。未渠央，即未遽央。央，尽。《诗经·小雅·庭》：“夜如何其，夜未央。”郑玄笺：“夜未央，犹言夜未渠央也。”
这首抒写泛舟湘江的词作，虽然隐括了《楚辞》和《史记》中的一些词语，但是由于词人面临清幽的自然景色，展开丰富的想象，同时又能领悟到屈原作品的真正价值，因此下笔自然灵活，并且透露出作者对屈原忠愤被谤而心地高洁的情操，是那样心心相印的。（曹济平）

【Review】 镇江金山寺是闻名的古刹，唐宋以来吟咏者甚多。北宋梅尧臣的《金山寺》诗：“山形无地接，寺界与波分。”绝妙地勾划出宋时金山矗立长江中的雄姿。苏轼在《游金山寺》诗中更以矫健的笔力，描绘江心空旷幽优的晚景。而张孝祥这首词则注入更多超尘的艺术幻觉。词的上片描写秋夜壮丽的长江，星空倒映，随波摇动，呈现出一种奇幻的自然景象。起二句直写秋夜江中金山的雄丽，落笔不同凡响。“寄声”二句，更用拟人化的手法，赋予客观物体以浓烈的主观感情色彩。“玉鉴”，即玉镜。“幽壑”三句承上抒写月光映照下所见江面的奇特景色，天上的星星、月亮，倒影水中，随波浮现出形态各异的图象，透过弥漫江面的无边无际的夜雾，仿佛听到潜藏在深水中鱼龙呼啸哀号的声音。“涌起”二句是从上文“倒影星辰”而来。“白银阙”，指月宫。苏轼《开元漱玉亭》诗：“荡荡白银阙，沉沉水精宫。”这里是形容江上涌现的滚滚白浪，在月光下好象一座座仙宫。“紫金山”，此指镇江金山。这种高驻金山的奇景，给人一种似乎写真又是虚幻的艺术感受。
换头着重抒写作者沉浸美景而飘然出尘的思绪。表，特。这是用屈原《九歌·山鬼》：“表独立兮山之上”的词句。珮，同佩，是佩带的玉饰。切云是一种高冠名。屈原《涉江》：“冠切云之崔嵬”。如果说这三句是外在的描述，那么“漱冰”二句则揭示内心的感受。词人浸沉在如同冰雪那样洁白的月光里，他的目力仿佛能透视万里之外的细微景物。“回首”以下五句，宕开笔力，飘然欲仙。“三山”，我国古代传说海上有三座神山，即方丈、蓬莱、瀛洲。前人将三山融入诗词境界中的并不少见，如李清照《渔家傲》：“风休住，蓬舟吹取三山去。”然而象这首词中所具有的幻觉意识并不多。词人超越常态的构想，充满浪漫色彩。似乎神仙在向我微笑，要我与之同往。结末二句展现乘坐凤羽做的华盖，用鸾鸟来驾车的情景，更富有游仙的意趣。
陈彦行在《于湖先生雅词序》中说，读张孝祥词作“泠然洒然，真非烟火食人辞语。予虽不及识荆，然其潇散出尘之姿，自然如神之笔，迈往凌云之气，犹可想见也。”在这首词中所抒写的潇散出尘、飘然欲仙的情思，不仅显示出作者开阔的心胸和奇特的英气，而且生动地反映了他的词作个性和风貌。（曹济平）

【Review】 宋高宗绍兴三十一年（1161）虞允文在采石矶大胜金兵，当时张孝祥正任抚州知州，捷报传来，他欣喜欲狂，当即写了这首《水调歌头》。
从题目《闻采石矶战胜》可以想见词人激动的心情，同时也说明了写作本词的缘由，点明了本词的主旨。
“雪洗虏尘静”，首句对这次胜利给以高度评价，他说，这次击败金兵，把侵略者带来的污垢尘埃“雪”洗得干干净净了。“风约楚云留”，“风”，暗喻朝廷，云，暗喻自己有官职在身。因为江西抚州在古代属楚国，所以说“楚云”。这句是说，由于朝廷的约束，地方官的责任又迫使我留在这儿，致使我未能参加这次令人鼓舞的战斗。对这一点，他深感遗憾，所以接下去才说：“何人为写悲壮？吹角古城楼。”前句说，谁为这次的胜利谱写悲壮的颂歌呢？表现了词人对前线的记挂；后句说，他命令军士在抚州古城的城楼吹起号角，大张旗鼓地庆祝这次胜利。
“湖海平生豪气”，《三国志·陈登传》：“陈元龙湖海之士，豪气不除。”这一句化用《三国志》评论陈登的话，说明自己平生具有湖海那样宽阔豪迈的志气；“关塞如今风景”，是说采石矶打了胜仗，边塞的形势如今和过去不同了，言外之意是说过去敌人威胁我们，如今我们又占了上风；“剪烛看吴钩”是说自己听到喜讯兴奋得词人在夜间挑亮灯烛，检查自己的武器，准备和敌人拚搏一场。这三句话充分说明了张孝祥报效祖国的豪情壮志和决心。前方胜利的消息使他深受鼓舞，他磨拳擦掌、严阵以待，随时准备为恢复中原献身效力。“剩喜燃犀处，骇浪与天浮。”剩，尽量；“燃犀”，《晋书·温峤传》：“燃犀角而照之”，后人用“燃犀”作照妖魔的意思，“燃犀处”，也就是消灭敌人的地方，这里指采石矶。“骇浪与天浮”是说采石矶一带的江水掀起了惊涛骇浪，波浪浮到天一般高。这两句描写采石矶战斗激烈，场面宏伟，光照妖魔，要干净利落地把金兵全部消灭。
下片由回忆古代两位北抗强敌的英雄写起，进而说明自己要效法前人，做驱逐金兵恢复中原的英雄。
“忆当年，周与谢，富春秋！”这三句点明他回忆的两个古人。周，指三国时东吴的周瑜；谢，指晋朝的谢玄。周瑜曾经大败曹操，谢玄曾经大破来自北方的前秦入侵军队。“富春秋”，是说他们建功立业的时候，正值他们年富力强的青壮年时代。“小乔初嫁，香囊未解，勋业故优游。”这三句说，当时周瑜刚娶“小乔”为妻，谢玄还是佩带香囊的少年，他们就从容不迫地创建了不朽的功业。周瑜和小乔结婚的时候只有二十四岁；《晋书·谢玄传》记载，谢玄少年时“好佩紫香囊”；“优游”，从容不迫的样子，意同苏轼《念奴娇》词说周瑜“谈笑间强虏灰飞烟灭”，不过苏词写的更为形象。这三句表现了词人对周瑜和谢玄的钦佩与向往。
“赤壁矶头落照，淝水桥边衰草，渺渺唤人愁。”这三句是对前边追述两个历史人物后的小结。当年周瑜战胜强敌的“赤壁矶”那儿，只能看到夕阳西下的残景，即“落照”；谢玄挥戈的淝水桥边只有破败的衰草。“渺渺”，渺茫旷远，第三句说，回忆他们，只能唤起人们遥远无际的忧愁。
“我欲乘风去，击楫誓中流。”结尾二句，巧用两个典故，表达自己恢复中原、报效国家的宏伟志向，与上片“湖海平生豪气”相呼应，更突出了他的爱国主义思想。“乘风”，《南史·宗慤传》记载，宗慤少有大志，曾对他的叔父宗炳说：“愿乘长风破万里浪。”“击楫”句化用《晋书·祖逖传》化用祖逖“中流击楫而誓”句意。
本词主题博大，气魄宏伟，作者炽热的爱国主义思想洋溢于字里行间。全词格调激昂慷慨，悲壮宏伟，用典贴切自然，是思想性强，艺术水平高的名作。（王方俊）
