和一位前红卫兵在旧金山看海

又一个波浪涌上来
我还来不及开口发问
那年头你有没有想到诗
哗啦一声它已在黑岩上摔得粉碎
叹一口白气又悄然退了下去

我们隔著雾互看了一眼
然后望开去
灰蒙蒙的海湾上空
这时候太阳突然冒出了脸
白亮庄严恍如奇迹

但我们都知道
它一直就在那里

another wave rushed in
as I was about to ask
“Did you think of poetry in those days?”
it crashed on the black rocks
and retreated with a white sigh

we looked away at the bay
through a thick fog
suddenly the sun appeared
brilliant and solemn
as if it were a miracle

but we both knew
it was there all the time
