Holiday Nuts
It’s (the) time of the year
cold outside but the party is warm
there are acorns, almonds
pistachios and
pecans in display
What a parade
hard maybe the shell
cold maybe the cover
yet deep within
we are nuts coming out:

Very homey. 为什么 the 要加括号？是不是代表 " nuts" ?

good question, here
(the) : gives a visual effect the nut is about to crack, () is more like the shell in a way
also, "it's time" has a different meaning than "it's the time,"
the word 'the' makes all the difference, ha!
