●写给祖国To Motherland

我不歌颂你的高山巍峨
尽管它脊梁坚实面对忧患从容不迫
我不歌颂你的大河奔腾
尽管它浩浩荡荡冲过历史险滩漩涡
我不歌颂你的人民勤劳
尽管五十六个兄弟民族都相濡以沫
I won’t extol your majestic mountains
Although in adversity their ridges are erect and composed
I won’t extol your surging rivers
Although in history they conquer every reef and eddy
I won’t extol your industrious people
Although fifty-six fraternal nations stand heart to heart, hand in hand

抵住内忧外患闯过蹉跎岁月
你把自己的命运牢牢地掌握
勇往直前改革气势磅礴开放
你又一次把自己的辉煌开拓
Triumphing over domestic riots，invasions and vain time
Your destiny is still firm in your hand
Marching with fortitude and reforming with momentum
You again plough a glorious land

搏动的心脏跳动着你的脉搏
涌动的血液奔腾着你的浪波
坚强的性格挺拔起你的气魄
无论在何处祖国都在我心窝
Pulsant heart pulsates your pulse
Springing blood creates your waves, grand
Tenacious character supports your spirit
Wherever I am, you are my heart and soul
Oh, my motherland

像树苗破土而出
带来世世相传的泥土芳香
像旱塬骤逢甘露
爸爸的心中升起一轮朝阳
Like a young shoot breaking the earth through
It wears the ancestors’ earthy perfume I bet
Like a dry land embracing sweet dew
In dad’s heart a shimmering sun raises its head

电动摇篮温暖不了你
爸爸要用华夏土地当你的摇床
绫罗绸缎包裹不了你
爸爸扯来五彩云朵作你的衣裳
Electric cradles can not warm you
Dad will make the divine land of China your bed
Silks and satins can not swaddle you
Dad will cut out the blazing clouds into your dress

山珍海味喂养不饱你
爸爸要用中华文明哺育你成长
几百年来的狂风骤雨
宝贝也必须仔细阅读不得遗忘
Luxury meals can not nourish you
Dad will feed you our civilization instead
Furious storms during hundreds of years
You should read them in detail and never forget

有一天你会像雄鹰在蓝天遨翔
爸爸要把中国印烙在你的身上
One day like an eagle you may hover ahead
You are a Chinese you should always keep in mind
