李嘉诚表态:我为什么要停止使用谷歌

Google公司宣布将搜索服务由中国内地转至香港,这一消息当天占据了许多美英媒体的重要位置。

美国《纽约时报》撰文指出,这一决定对谷歌来说是一个「冒险」,尤其是放弃世界上最大的搜索引擎市场,有可能挫伤谷歌全球化的目标。文章还表示,绝大多数跨国企业并没有效仿谷歌举动的意愿。《纽约时报》另有报道称,这是一个「危险的举动」,中国有4亿网民,在这里有着世界最大的网络市场。

英国BBC评论说,谷歌公司是在进行一场持久的赌博。在中关村工作的中国年轻一代专家们,也对谷歌退出大陆事件表达了惋惜、气愤和震惊。谷歌并非中国最大的搜索引擎提供商,但谷歌的退出无疑等于将其在中国市场所占的份额和利润,对包括百度、腾讯在内的其他同行拱手相让。香港首富李嘉诚先生已经表示停用谷歌搜索引擎,以表达对谷歌公司拒绝遵守中国政府规定这一行为的抗议。

加拿大《环球邮报》预言谷歌离不开中国,「长期来看,谷歌别无选择,必须与中国打交道,不管是什么形式的。中国市场对谷歌来说太大了。」
