|
|
(Robert Frost):
(Marcia Lee Masters):
色斯顿(Ann Sexton):
毕晓普(Elizabeth Bishop):
博勒辛(Lee Blessing):
(Wallace Stevens)
贡西(Bruce Guernsey):
法地曼(Clifton Fadiman):
狄克森(Dickson):
班科(Archie Bunker):
(John Updike):
(Chief Justice Holmes):
普拉丝(Sylvia Plath):
明内利(Lisa Minnelli):
邓肯(Isadora Duncan):
沙克森(Anglo Saxon):
姚森(Yelzin):
(Sarajevo editor):
福克纳(William Faulkner):
S。 Eliot):
A SCATTER OF METAPHORS
Robert Frost
Unless you are at home with metaphor...you're not safe anywhere. Thinking means...putting this and that together...saying one thing in terms of another.
Marcia Lee Masters
The world was at my pencil point
A grandfather kind of place
A skinny song of a man
Boats that know the world
Prying the Years apart
Diary of faces
Love--when I was still made of silk
Gold bazaar of the sun
Waves kick me with silvery hooves
He was stern as a hatchet
She treats herself as if she were a painting
A river in our bones
Wounded Bible eyes
Spitting law out like tobacco juice
Crows rustling the air with sound
Stamp the world off your boots
Flinging our freedom through the pastures
Light scowled beneath his door
Grass whinnied with the flurries of bees
Hammock full of talk
Senses tilted
Chimneys puffing silence
fhe house shrank with cold
Stars white as crumbs
Voices tousled by wind
raindrops playing Jacks
Bible eyes
Thunderbolts of verse
Chartering chairs
Fame took him off like a great wind
Poetry is just a total eclipse
Ann Sexton
Stars were strapped in the sky
A song that remembered more than I did
Worth no more than a dead fly
Lay as still as a sausage
I'm a watercolor;I wash off
Eat the sky like an apple
Sunrise as authentic as soap
Mark Petrakis
Wisdom mulched from my mistakes
Alice (In Wonderland)
What's the use of a book without pictures and conversation?
Elizabeth Bishop
Falling out of her world, holding onto the National Geographic
Lee Blessing
Formality is merely anger with its hair combed
Wallace Stevens
Men are made out of words
Anonymous
I wouldn't believe Donald Trump if his tongue was notarized
Bruce Guernsey
Riding your boredom bareback
Clifton Fadiman
The adjective is the banana peel of the parts of speech
Lincoln
Army deserters,like a shovelful of fleas,pitched from one place
to another
Soup made from a shadow of a crow that had starved to death
Dickson
Letting the moon shine through your brain
Street holds the buildings together
Dogs with sleep in their bones
Walls of childhood crumbling
Archie Bunker
Don't scream. It goes through my head like a nail
God don't make no mistakes;that's how he got to be God
John Updike
Writing is the only place I'm allowed to sin
Prisoner
I dig a trench in myself
Chief Justice Holmes
Carve every word before you let it fall
Sylvia Plath
A child's cry melts into the wall
The black shoe in which I lived for thirty years
Black no sky could squeak through
Moon staring from the hood of bone...white as a knuckle
Grasses unload their grief on my feet as if I am God
Indian Saying
Life is the breath of a buffalo in winter time, a little shadow that
runs across the grass and is lost in the sunset.
Lisa Minnelli
Each song becomes a little movie
Isadora Duncan
If I could tell you what I meant, 1 wouldn't have danced it.
Anglo Saxon
Mad as a meat axe and dead as a hammer
Yeltzin
You can't throw out a government like an old sock
Driver
Drivin' a bus is like workin' in an office -- but your windows are
always movin'
Dickinson
Summer sang in me a little time
A funeral in my brain
Life is over there behind the shelf the sexton keeps the keys to
Sarajevo editor
I can't tell you how the war is;I can only write it from my stomach
William Faulkner
When the train runs,the track shines.
T.S.Eliot
Dissolve the floors of memory
Light opens on her like a grin
Measure out my life with coffee spoons
To squeeze the universe into a ball and roll it toward some overwhelming question
Where every word is at home _________________

Will have a close read, when I have a little more time.
Thanks Mr. Fei Ma for sharing.

_________________ (在不斷的審醜裡終將建立起新的審美) |
