魏鹏展评：这是少有的叙事式歌词，主题是表达男主角对女朋友无限量的爱。作者的写作技巧主要透过男主角正面的性格，又安排一个悲惨的结局，这可引起读者同情；而且临死前，他还要处处为女友着想，更是引人下泪，又把这些内容反复几次，有一唱三叹，深化主题的作用。这种写主人翁善良性格，又写他悲惨的结局，是常见的戏剧手法。
