碧山吟社碧山吟社是明代成化十八年（1482年），由秦旭创建的诗社。秦旭（1410-1494），字景晹，号修敬，是迁锡始祖秦惟祯的玄孙。秦旭“博学多闻，诗类陆游”，参加诗社的有十位老人，都是布衣，每月聚会一次，作诗吟词，怡然自得，名满江南。明代画家沈周画有“碧山吟社图”。　　秦旭谢世后，由其曾孙秦瀚重组诗社。参加诗社者有顾可久、俞宪等19人。　　秦瀚谢世后，由秦旭的九世孙秦松龄和严绳孙等重结诗社，编成《碧山集》。秦松龄之子秦实然曾邀集名流，在二泉亭街的望益楼集会赋诗，绘图留念。碧山吟社紧倚惠山，面对莲沼。前有石级平台，在一排古老的格子门后有大厅五间。上嵌石刻金字“碧山吟社”，系明代书画家文徵明手书。两侧厢房，四周回廊。天井内有古玉兰和老枇杷树各一株。厅后小院，有“涵碧池”和唐文治《碧山吟社碑记》石刻。
