五绝叹黄忠老将壮心高，拉弓敢射雕。虽然豪气在，弦断伐吴桥。（伐：古韵读仄声。）蜀汉老将黄忠从不服老，多次以高龄出征并屡建奇功，位列蜀汉“五虎上将”。但最后却因为先主刘备的错误兴兵伐吴而在刚出征时中冷箭而亡，结局悲凉，令人扼腕。“五虎上将”中只有马超、赵云先后是病故的。
