　　腓力五世在里昂出生，是腓力四世与Joan I of Navarre的第二子。登基前的腓力五世是法王约翰一世的摄政，约翰一世是路易十世的遗腹子，出生数天后夭折，由腓力五世继位。有人怀疑腓力五世杀害约翰一世。
　　
　　腓力五世死时无男嗣，由查理四世继位。
