　　杨侗，隋朝宗室。隋炀帝孙，元德太子昭之子，母小刘良娣。原本封为越王，驻守洛阳。隋炀帝被杀后，王世充、与元文都、卢楚等拥立杨侗为隋朝皇帝，史称皇泰主。杨侗以世充为吏部尚书，封郑国公，与陈国公段达、内史令元文都、内史侍郎郭文懿、黄门侍郎赵长文、内史令卢楚、兵部尚书皇甫无逸等六人共同辅政，时人号称“七贵”。元文都欲暗杀王世充，段达暗中通知世充，结果行刺失败，文都临死前对皇泰主说，“臣今朝死，陛下夕及矣”，杨侗亦哭。
　　皇泰二年（619年）四月，王世充自称“大郑皇帝”，建元“开明”，废杨侗为潞国公，囚于含凉殿，每日只能求佛祈福。五月，王世充部将裴仁基、裴行俨父子策划攻杀王世充，事情败露，世充杀死裴仁基父子。但之后世充意图毒杀侗，六月派侄子王仁则和家仆梁百年，携毒酒去杨侗处，杨侗自知难逃一死，遂服毒，遗言：“愿下辈子不要再生在帝王尊贵之家”；但一时半刻竟没毒发，最后被勒毙。
　　618年至619年在位。是隋朝最后一位君主。年号皇泰。
